Weekend ahead forecast – The change, Sunshine, rain and becoming cooler.
Thursdays night
Its been a stunning day and lovely week. Some clouds pushing in now across parts of the Western Isles and its warm and humid. Its forecast to stay dry overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning.
Friday
The change starts, it will be an overcast start for the Northern Half of the Western Isles with the risk of some light showers tomorrow morning but in between we should get some sunshine. The Southern half will see some cloud but some longer sunny spells. Some prolonged early afternoon sunshine before the cloud thickens across the entire Western Isles. Risk of an odd light shower as the everning goes on. Winds are forecast to be under 10 mph. From a Southerly and South Easterly direction and temps of around 15C to 23C
Saturday
Overnight Friday into Saturday will see thick cloud push in across the Western Isles and we will see some rain starting to push in. Its forecast to get heavier as the morning goes on and will see some intense bursts at times. The odd thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. The afternoon and evening will be sunny spells and showers some heavy rain at times and fairly strong winds. The rain is forecast to ease a little as we go overnight into Sunday. Winds will be around 10 to 20 mph gusting 30 mph especially in the afternoon and early evening from a Southerly and South Westerly direction. Temps around 13C to 19C will feel a lot less colder on Saturday.
Sunday
Quite a long way off as yet, But Sunday looks like being a day of sunshine and showers. These showers could be quite intense at times. In between we should see some decent sunny spells and the best of the fine dry weather looks like being across the Southern half of the Western Isles during the late afternoon and evening. Winds will be around 10 to 20 mph gusting 30 mph from a Westerly and North Westerly direction. Temperatures cooler again around 12C to 17C
