Tuesdays forecast – Heavy rain overnight. Wet tomorrow but not as wet as today and some sunny spells.
We are still under a yellow warning for rain till midnight tonight.
Some heavy rain still affecting large parts of the Western Isles in particular the Southern Half of the Western Isles, except for Barra correct me if I am wrong but I think they have escaped all the rainfall today?
The heavy rain is going to carry on for much of the night tonight. Adding to the already large amount of surface water on the roads. The heavy rain will start to ease during the early hours of tomorrow morning. The heavy rain overnight tonight will be accompanied by fairly strong winds.
Into the morning tomorrow and it will be a morning of sunshine and rain. The rain will be lighter then today for most of the morning we could see some heavier bursts of rain. Into the late morning and the Southern Half of the Western Isles is forecast to see a period of finer and drier weather. The rain will is expected to continue across the Northern Half.
The rain is forecast to spread back into the Southern Half as the afternoon goes on. The Northern Half will see lighter rain and some sunny spells. The cloud could prove stubborn to shift in places but we should see some decent evening sunshine in between the rain.
It will be a mostly showery night as we go overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Winds tomorrow will be from a North Westerly direction around 20 to 30 mph with the odd gust reaching 40 mph. Temps tomorrow around 11C to 16C
