Weekend ahead forecast – Sunshine, rain heavy at times.

For most its a pretty fine and dry end to the day. Some showers around for the Northern Half and a massive improvement on last night. The Southern Half is seeing some decent evening sunshine and the odd light shower.

Friday

The first part of the night is forecast to be mostly fine and dry but by the early hours of the night rain is forecast to push across the Western Isles. The rain will be mostly light. As we go into the morning we should see some sunshine in between the rain. As the morning goes on the Northern Half is forecast to see more rain push in. The Southern Half is expected to a have a mostly dry end to the morning. With a fairly decent afternoon, Heavy rain is forecast to push across the Northern Half of the Western Isles during the afternoon. The Northern Half is forecast to see the rain clear away away as we go into the evening and overnight into Sunday. The Southern half is expected to see more showers push in during the same time. Winds will be from a Northerly and North Westerly direction around 10 to 20 mph with some gusts reaching 30 mph. 8C to 15C

Saturday

Looks like being a very good day at the moment. Some overnight Showers will start to clear away by the early morning. A few showers are possible on Saturday. But the entire day should be mostly fine and dry with some prolonged sunshine if the cloud shifts. The cloud could always prove stubborn but fingers crossed it shifts. The fine and mostly dry weather conditions will last into Sunday. Winds will be from a Northerly and North Westerly direction around 10 to 25 mph. Temps 8C to 14C

Sunday

A long way off as yet but overnight Saturday into Sunday should be mostly fine and dry, The odd light shower cannot be ruled out. Into Sunday itself and the Southern Half of the Western Isles is expected to see a beautiful day. A fine and dry day is being forecast here at the moment. However the cloud is being forecast to dominate. But in breaks in the cloud we should see some prolonged sunshine. As ever hopefully the cloud won’t prove so stubborn to shift. The Northern Half will see a day of sunshine and showers. In between we should see some decent and prolonged sunshine but the rain will never be to far away. into the evening and overnight Monday is forecast to be fine and dry. Winds will be from a Westerly and South Westerly direction before shifting to come from a South Easterly direction as the weekend comes to a close. Winds will be under 10 mph for much of the day some gusts reaching 30 mph. temps around 9C to 15C
