Week ahead forecast – HIGH PRESSURE!
High pressure remains firmly in charge for the week ahead. Hopefully the cloud won’t prove to stubborn to shift and we get some prolonged sunshine. We should see some an increase on the Temperatures during the course of the week.
Sunday Night / Monday
There is a quite a bit of cloud around tonight that bringing with it some drizzle and a few showers but for most its a dry end to the day with some decent evening sunshine. Its going to be a mostly overcast and dry night and into tomorrow. Into tomorrow and there is a risk of some mist and fog patches developing by the early hours of tomorrow morning. The cloud is expected to dominate across the Northern Half of the Western Isles and we are forecast to see some showers by the late afternoon and early evening, Despite this we should see some decent sunny spells in the breaks in the cloud. The Southern half should remain largely fine and dry the odd light shower cannot be ruled out and we should some prolonged sunshine. There will be still be quite a bit of cloud around. Winds will be from a Northerly and North Westerly direction around 10 mph with some gusts reaching 20 mph. Temps will range from 9C to 14C
Tuesday
Overnight Monday into Tuesday is forecast to be fine and dry with a lot of cloud around. Into Tuesday morning and we will see some showers push in these will be mostly light in nature. The rest of Tuesday is forecast to be fine and dry with plenty of cloud around, Hopefully in the breaks in the cloud we should see some decent sunny spells. Winds will shift to come in from a Southerly and South Westerly direction around 10 to 20 mph and temps 9C to 15C
Wednesday
Will all depend on how stubborn the cloud is to shift. Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday is forecast to be fine and dry but overcast. Into Wednesday morning and its forecast to start overcast but when the cloud clears we should see some prolonged sunshine. As the day goes on the cloud should hopefully clear leading to some decent Autumn sunshine and temperatures are forecast to increase. It should stay fine and dry as we go into the evening and overnight into Thursday however we will see more cloud push in. Winds will be from a Southerly and South Westerly direction around 10 to 20 mph. Temps will range from 11C to 17C
Thursday
Looks like being a beautiful day. Overnight Wednesday into Thursday will see more cloud push into the Western Isles but is forecast to stay dry. Into the morning and we should see the cloud start to shift away and when it does we should have a day of wall to wall sunshine. It should be a fine and dry end to the day. Little or no rain is forecast at the moment. Winds will be start off overnight Wednesday into Thursday coming from a South Westerly and Southerly direction moving to come in from a South Easterly direction by the evening. Winds are forecast to be under 10 mph with the odd gust reaching 20 mph. Temps will range from 11C to 18C
Friday
A long way off as yet but overnight Thursday into Friday is forecast to be clear and dry. We should see some decent morning sunshine. However the cloud is forecast to roll back in once again, The rest of the day is forecast to be sunshine and cloud but is expected to stay dry. Winds under 10 mph from a Southerly and South Easterly direction. Temps will range from 12C to 19C
