Good morning Western Isles this is your morning briefing – 11/6/15

On this Thursday morning its a mostly fine and dry start to the day. There is some light rain and drizzle around. Some heavier rain out in the Atlantic off the coast of Barra.

at 07:00 this morning there was a lot of cloud across the Western Isles. Little or no sunshine. There are some breaks in the cloud but they are few and far between.

in the Highlands & Eilean Siar on Wednesday South Uist range the lowest maximum temp was 12.9C

Last 24 hours high and low at the hourly readings was Stornoway airport Wednesday 15.3C at 16:00 and 04:00 Thursday 7.3C. South Uist range Wednesday 12.9C and Thursday 9.3C at 04:00

High pressure is still dominating our weather and looks set to do so until the early part of next week.

We are going to see a cold front pushing across the Western Isles overnight Thursday into Friday. A weak area of low pressure on Saturday.
