Wednesday morning brief

Good Morning Western Isles this is your morning brief.

Well the snow has caught me out again. I was expecting wintry showers this morning. With a chance of snowfall over higher ground and a dusting to lower ground. But we are seeing snow showers widely this morning. Start to accumulate in places. Thick snow flakes. It’s been a very wet night. Seeing rain for some parts of the Western isles.

Today – further frequent wintry showers. Snows showers to all parts. Snow over higher ground. Snow showers to lower level with a chance of accumulations. Becoming more frequent this evening. Risk of thunderstorms in the squally showers. Some sunny spells. Frost and ice this evening. Strong North and North Westerly winds. Gusting 30/40 mph.

Thursday – further overnight snow showers becoming drier on Thursday and more settled.

Friday – a fairly dry day with some sunny spells and brisk winds.

Saturday – staying settled.
