Good Morning Western Isles this is your morning brief

On this Thursday morning we are seeing and icy cold start. Some sleet and snow showers. A bitterly cold. Northerly wind. Plenty of cloud with some decent clear spells.

A reminder we remain under a Met office yellow weather warning for snow and ice until 12:00 Thursday lunchtime. Full warning can be found via the Met office website or app.

Across the entire UK on Wednesday Stornoway had the lowest maximum temperature of 0.2C

Today – a few wintry showers but these will clear slowly as the morning goes on. Some sunshine and cloud increasing later. Staying cold but the Northerly wind easing. Frost and ice likely again this evening.

Friday – fine dry but breezy day.

Saturday – a fairly settled day with a mixture of sunshine and cloud.

Sunday – a breezy day with showers.
