Good Morning Western Isles this is your morning brief
On this Monday morning we are seeing some showers moving across the Western Isles. Plenty of cloud around.
Across the highlands and islands on Sunday Stornoway was the sunniest with 2.7 hours of sunshine and South Uist range had the highest maximum temperature of 6.9C
Today – we are going to see a cloud dominated day. Rain is going to spread into all parts which will be heavy and persistent accompanied by gales gusting 40/50 mph with some gusts reaching 60 mph in more exposed areas. Behind the rain into this evening we are going to see some sleet and snow showers.
Tuesday – we are going to see frequent wintry showers. We could see a dusting of snow for a time in places. Falling more as rain the further south you are. Winds will ease.
Wednesday – will be an overcast and showery day.
Thursday – winds will ease and the cloud will dominate.
Have a great day
