Wednesdays forecast – Staying cold.

Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing wintry showers moving across the Western Isles. Some of these are heavy and falling as sleet and snow. Its very icy.

A reminder we are under a Met Office Yellow warning for ice until 11:00 Wednesday morning. Full warning can be found via the Met Office website of app.

Overnight – We are going to see further wintry showers. Sleet and snow. Risk of thundery showers. Some clear spells and further frost and ice. We could see accumulations again at lower ground with heavier falls over higher ground. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.

Wednesday day – Not much change during the day on Wednesday. Further wintry showers becoming increasing scattered as the day goes on. Some of these showers turning to rain. In between some decent sunshine. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.

Evening – Scatted showers increasing turning to rain. Still some wintry precipitation in places. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Risk of frost and ice again. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.

Winds will be Westerly and North Westerly direction and temps will range from -1C to 6C
