Thursdays forecast – Milder.

Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we are still seeing rain sleet and snow showers moving across the Western Isles. Its still very icy across large parts of the Western Isles.

Reminder a Met Office Yellow warning for Lewis and Harris comes into force at 18:00 this evening and expires at 11:00 Friday morning. The full warning can be found via the Met Office website or app.

Overnight – We are going to see some mist and fog along with further frost and ice. Scattered wintry showers with some falling as rain. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.

Morning and afternoon – after a frost start we are going to see a mostly cloud dominated day. Some sunshine. Some showers These will be mostly light. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.

Evening – The cloud will increase. Rain will push in and this will be heavy at times. Winds will increase and the temps will head back towards double figures. So any frost and ice should melt. Winds of 20 to 30 mph with some gusts reaching 40 mph.

Winds will be Westerly and North Westerly direction shifting South and South Westerly direction and temps will range from -1C to 10C
