Good Morning Western Isles this is your morning brief

On this Wednesday morning we are seeing wintry showers moving across the Western isles. We are seeing frost and ice widespread. We are seeing a mixture of cloud and sunshine.

a reminder we are under a Met office yellow weather warning for ice until 11:00 this morning. Yellow means be aware.

Across the highlands and islands on Tuesday south Uist range was the wettest with 7.6 mm of rain.

Today – we are going to see further wintry showers. These falling as a mixture of rain sleet and snow. Mist and fog forming this evening. A mixture of sunshine and cloud today. Frost and ice again this evening.

Thursday – overcast and becoming milder some showers but these turning to rain.

Friday – will be milder and breezy with spells of rain.

Saturday – turning colder with winds from the North risk of wintry showers.
