Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing a lot of snow covering the Western Isles. Challenging conditions. Brisk winds. Frost and ice. A main band of sleet and snow is slow moving across the Western Isles at around 22:30.

We are currently under a Met Office Yellow weather warning for snow and ice until 11:00 Wednesday morning. The full warning can be found via the Met Office website or app.
Overnight – We are going to see further snow and wintry showers. These will be heavy at times. Frost and ice widespread. Winds of 10 to 30 mph with some gusts reaching 40 mph.
Morning and Afternoon – Yet more sleet and snow showers. These are expected to become more scattered as the day goes on. They will be heavy at times. In between we are going to see some decent and prolonged sunshine. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Evening – More wintry showers. Some of these heavy at times. Some clear skies in between. Frost and ice once again as temps drop and winds lighten. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.
Winds will be Westerly and North Westerly direction and temps will range from -3C to 5C
