Good Morning Western Isles this is your morning brief

On this Wednesday morning we are still seeing a few wintry showers moving across the Western Isles. Plenty of snow and ice on the ground after the last 24 hours of snowfall. It’s extremely frosty and icy. Winds are light.

A reminder we are under a Met office yellow weather warning for snow and ice until 11:00 this morning. The full warning can be found via the Met office website or app.

Across the highlands and islands on Tuesday Harris Quidnish was the wettest with 5.8 mm of rainfall.

Today – a mixture of sunshine and cloud with scattered wintry showers. Another severe frost tonight. Wintry showers again this evening. Brisk winds becoming light.

Thursday – a cloud dominated day with some showers and plenty of sunshine. Light winds.

Friday – cold again but mostly dry.

Saturday – becoming milder slowly and more settled.
