Thursday 28th March Weather Watch

Good afternoon Western isles we are seeing overcast conditions yet again. Some light rain and drizzle. We are seeing winds gusting 35/45 mph.

Friday will see winds ease across the western isles. The cold front will move further south across the UK. It will stay cloud and we will see spells of rain. The rain will be heavy at times.

Saturday will see a breezy day. The cloud that has been stubborn to shift for weeks will break allowing for some decent and prolonged sunshine. Some light rain. Winds will be brisk. Temperatures will drop and and a risk of frost overnight Saturday into Sunday. The cold front carries on moving South across the UK. High pressure builds from the West.

Sunday will see light winds. It will be a chilly start but become warmer as the day goes on. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Some light rain. The cold front slowly clears the UK on Sunday. High pressure sits across the UK.

Next week – looks set to stay unsettled wet windy conditions to start April and becoming milder again.
