Tuesdays forecast – Blustery and wintry.

Good evening Western Isles on this Monday evening we are seeing a cold end to the day. Squally showers moving across the Western Isles. Some of these wintry in nature. With a rain and sleet mix.

Overnight – We are going to see further showers. Some of these wintry at times. Rain sleet and snow. The showers will be heavy and at times thundery. We could see some snow over high ground. Winds of 10 to 25 mph.

Morning – A mixture of sunshine and showers. The sunshine will be prolonged at times in between the showers. However the showers will be heavy and wintry at times with a risk of thunderstorms. Winds of 5 to 15 mph.

Afternoon –  Further spells of sunshine, again this will be prolonged for a time but plenty of showers again could be thundery in nature at times with some wintry precipitation mixed in. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – A mixture of sunshine and showers before sunset and a mixture of clear skies and showers after sunset. Feeling colder again and some of these showers will be wintry in nature. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Winds will be Westerly and South Westerly direction but shifting to come from the Northerly direction as we go into the morning. Temps of 2C to 8C
