Thursday 4th April Weather Watch

We are still seeing heavy and persistent rain across the Western isles. However this will slowly clear to the west as the afternoon goes on. A mixture of sunshine and cloud will follow behind with a dry evening.

Friday will see a fine and dry day. Variable amounts of cloud but prolonged sunshine at times. It’s going to be breezy and feeling mild. Across the UK the areas of low pressure sink further south.

Saturday should be mostly dry the odd light shower cannot be ruled out. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Breezy North Easterly wind. High pressure sits across the UK.

Sunday plenty of prolonged sunshine. Wall to wall for a time. More stubborn cloud for the Uists and Barra. High pressure sits across the UK.

According to the UK Met Office. March was the 5th wettest on record and Northern Ireland had its wettest march on record.
