Saturday 6th April Weather Watch

Good afternoon Western isles on this Saturday afternoon we are seeing the rain slowly clearing away. It’s still fairly overcast with a few sunny spells and brisk winds. The rest of the evening should be dry.

On Friday Stornoway was the sunniest place in the entire UK with 12.2 hours of sunshine.

Sunday will see some overnight light rain and drizzle. Brisk winds. Into Sunday itself it should be mostly dry. However the odd light shower cannot be ruled out.

Across the UK high pressure remains in charge of the weather but a few lingering weather fronts bringing some rain.

Monday – will be fine dry and sunny. Wall to wall sunshine for a time. Brisk winds and variable amounts of cloud.

Tuesday more of the same. Fine dry settled conditions with plenty of sunshine. Brisk winds with variable amount of cloud.

High pressure remains firmly in charge across the UK.

The rest of the week will see more settled and sunny conditions. However some signs things will turn more unsettled for the end of next week. However lots of uncertainty as yet.
