Good afternoon Western isles on this Thursday afternoon we are seeing fine and conditions across the Western isles with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Winds are light.
This can be seen by today’s view from space.
On radar we are seeing an odd coastal shower but again most places are dry.
Friday – will see another fine and dry day with plenty of sunshine. Some cloud and risk of morning mist and fog patches. Winds will increase 20/30 mph.
Across the UK high pressure stays in charge. High pressure over Scandinavia. Isobars tighten bringing breezy conditions.
Saturday will see another sunny day. Prolonged sunshine. However winds are going to increase and we are going to see gales. Winds gusting 40/50 mph.
High pressure still sits over Scandinavia and low pressure out in the Atlantic 948 mb. We are sandwiched in the middle hence the strong winds.
Sunday and it will be an overcast but mostly dry day the odd shower cannot be ruled out.
The deep area of high pressure still sits over Scandinavia. We are still seeing brisk winds gusting 30/40 mph.
Next week and little change is on the cards as high pressure sits across the UK. Plenty of sunshine, variable amounts of cloud and brisk winds.
Thank you for reading, I hope you have a great weekend.
The view from space comes from NASA worldview, radar from Netweather and pressure charts from the UK Met office.
