Mondays forecast – Sunshine returns

Good evening Western isles on this Sunday evening the bulk of the rain is clearing from the Western Isles. Still some light rain and drizzle. Its breezy with mist and low cloud.

Overnight – Any patchy rain is expected to clear away. We are going to see a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds will increase. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning – An overcast start but cloud will clear away allowing for plenty of sunshine. Prolonged sunshine for most. Its going to feel warm if windy. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph across the Uists and Barra.

Afternoon and evening – Plenty of sunshine. This will be wall to wall at times some patchy cloud that could prove stubborn to shift. The odd light shower cannot be ruled out. Winds of 20 to 40 mph possibly reaching 50 mph across the Uists and Barra. Feeling warm.

A chance of seeing the warmest temperature of the year so far on Monday.

Winds will be Southerly and South Easterly direction and temps will range from 11C to 19C
