Monday April 22nd Weather Watch

Good afternoon Western isles it’s another beautiful and sunny day across the Western isles and even Scotland.

Temps are In the high teens with 20C being recorded at Stornoway Airport.

Tuesday looks set to be another fine and dry day. Plenty of sunshine. But more cloud then Monday. Temperatures getting into the high teems once again.

High pressure sits over us but low pressure sits in the bay of biscay.

Wednesday the high pressure system is starting to break down. Low pressure 981 mb sits off Ireland. For us in the Western isles will be fine dry and warm but rain is likely spread in late evening.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely so to spread into England and Wales during the course of Wednesday.

Thursday and it’s all change. It will turn cooler and as cold front rattles across the UK we will see showers it in its wake.

Low pressure takes charge off our weather as high pressure retreats back.

Looking towards the weekend things are expected to stay unsettled.
