Fridays forecast – Cold

Ugh.

Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing an overcast and breezy end to the day. Some light rain and drizzle. Brisk winds.

Overnight – We are going to see a mixture of showers, cloud and clear skies. Some of these showers will be wintry with hail and sleet mixed in. Winds will be around 10 to 20 mph.

Morning and afternoon – A real mixed bag of sunshine and blustery wintry showers. Some of these falling as rain but some sleet and hail mixed in. Chance of some snow for a time over higher ground. In between some prolonged sunshine. Blustery with winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Evening – More of the same spells of sunshine, further showers, rain sleet and hail. Plenty of cloud and some clear spells to end the day. Staying blustery.  A chance of some frost and ice in some parts. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be Northerly and North Easterly direction and temps will range from 2C to 8C but will feel colder in the wind chill.
