Thursday 2nd May Weather Watch

Good Afternoon Western isles on this Thursday afternoon we are seeing plenty of cloud around and it’s feeling chilly. Some showers around some of these are heavy. Winds are brisk and from the North.

More of the same for the rest of this evening. Plenty of cloud with a few showers and brisk winds. A few sunny spells.

Today’s view from space highlights a very overcast conditions across the Western isles.

Friday will see another overcast day with showers. Some sunny spells but the cloud will dominate. Some of the showers could be wintry and it will feel cold.

Cold air is pushing down from the North w cold front pushes dome across the UK. High pressure sits across Iceland.

Saturday will see a brisk day with some light rain and drizzle. Still feeling chilly. Some sunshine which will be prolonged at times. Winds will ease as the day goes on.

High pressure sits across the UK winds will ease. But it will still feel chilly.

Sunday will a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Spells of rain. These will be heavy at times. A cold from will move across the Western isles. Winds will be brisk. Still feeling chilly.

Across the UK high pressure declines slightly but we see a mostly settled day apart from a cold front moving across the UK.

Long range and next week is looking unsettled. With windy and showery weather.
