Saturdays forecast – Chilly but improving

Good evening Western Isles on this we are seeing further wintry showers moving across the Western isles, This is accompanied by strong Northerly winds. We are seeing some snow falling over higher ground. Some clear spells in between.

Overnight – We are going to see further wintry showers again these will be heavy at times. But in between some clear spells. In sheltered spots a risk of some frost and ice. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Morning and afternoon – The vast majority of the wintry showers will die out in the morning. We will see a few lingering around but for most it will be fine and dry but cold. We will see some decent and prolonged sunshine, variable amounts of cloud. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – The cloud will increase but will still see plenty of sunshine. A few lingering showers but for most its expected to be fine and dry. Staying cold and breezy but as winds drop a risk of frost and ice once more. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Winds will be Northerly and North Westerly direction and temps will range from 3C to 9C but will feel colder in the wind chill.
