Fridays forecast – A wet end to spring.

Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing rain move across the Western Isles. This rain is heavy and persistent in places. The heaviest at the moment across South Harris. Drier for most of Lewis and  Barra. 
Overnight – We are going to see further rain push across the Western Isles. This rain will be heavy and persistent at times. The heaviest will be across North Uist, Berneray and Harris. This could result in quite a bit of surface water on the roads. Not everywhere will see the heaviest of the rain with lighter rain across Lewis and Barra. The cloud will dominate.  Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Morning and afternoon – Its going to be a wet day. We are going to see rain moving across the Western Isles for most of the day. The rain will be heavy and persistent at times. There will be spells when the rain becomes lighter. The cloud will dominate so any sunny spells will be few and far between. Winds of 10 to 20 mph gusting 30 mph.
Evening – The rain will slowly become lighter and clear away and we should see some respite. Some sunny spells but the cloud will dominate. Most places should see a dry end to the day. Winds will be around 10 to 20 mph.
Winds on Friday will be Southerly and South Westerly direction and temps will range from 7C to 14C
