Sundays forecast – Yet more rain with some sunshine.

Good evening Western Isles on this Saturday evening we are seeing a mostly dry end to the day. Some light rain but for most its a dry end to the day. We are seeing brisk winds. A few sunny spells but the cloud is dominating.

Overnight – We are going to see a cloud increase with some mist and fog. Rain is going to push into all parts. The rain will become heavy and at times persistent. We are going to see winds increasing. Winds of 10 to 30  mph gusting 40 mph.

Morning – Further spells of rain but these will gradually clear away for most by late morning. The rain again will be heavy at times. It will be an overcast morning with increasing sunshine by late evening. Winds of 10 to 20 mph gusting 30 mph.

Afternoon – We are going to see plenty of sunshine, a few lingering showers. These will be mostly light but we could see the odd heavier shower. Variable amounts of cloud. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – Rain is going to push back into the Uists and Barra but in between we will see some sunshine. The showers will be heavy at times. For Lewis and Harris the evening will start off fine and dry with plenty of sunshine which will be prolonged at times with variable amounts of cloud.  Showers will  reach all parts by the end of the day. Winds will increase around 20 to 40 mph some gusts across the Uists and Barra could reach 50 mph.

Winds will be Easterly and South Easterly direction but for a time during the morning and afternoon will come South Westerly direction. Temps will range from 7C to 14C
