Mondays forecast – Showery and breezy

Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing rain clipping the coastlines of the Western Isles. Some of these are heavy and thundery. The cloud is dominating with some clear spells.

Overnight – We are going to see further showers across the Western Isles. Some of these will be heavy and thundery. We are going to see some clear skies with some early morning sunshine. Plenty of cloud around. Winds of around 10 to 20 mph gusting 30 to 40 mph during the early hours of the morning across the Uists and Barra.

Morning – Again further showers moving across the Western Isles. Some of these will be heavy at times. In between we are going to see some sunny spells. Strong winds across the Uists and Barra that could reach 50 mph for a time. Lighter for Lewis and Harris around 20 to 30 mph.

Afternoon – More showers. In between some decent dry interludes with some decent sunshine. However cloud is expected to increase as we go into the evening. Winds of 20 to 40 mph across the Western Isles.

Evening – The day will end overcast with further light rain and drizzle. Winds slowly easing down to 20 to 30 mph.

Winds will be Westerly and South Westerly direction and temps will range from 8C to 14C
