Good afternoon Western isles on this Tuesday afternoon we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud with some rain hugging the coast of the Western isles. Elsewhere is mostly dry. Brisk winds. The cloud and rain has proved more stubborn to shift then I had anticipated on my forecast that I issued on Monday evening.
But today’s view from space does show more sunshine then we have seen of late especially across the Uists and Barra.
Wednesday is going to see an overcast day. We are going to see rain throughout the day. Some dry spells. We are going to see brisk North Easterly winds that will make it feel chilly. Winds of 20/40 mph.
Across the UK low pressure 1000 mb bringing us the unsettled conditions and rain in the Western isles. The rest of the UK is expected to stay mostly settled.
Thursday we are going to see some light showers and plenty of sunshine. It’s going to become a little milder with temperatures reaching 14/15C. Winds swing round to come in from the South East.
A slack pressure pattern persists across the UK. Winds are light. An area of low pressure off the coast of Spain 997 mb will bring more unsettled conditions to parts of the UK as we head into the weekend.
Friday and at this stage things are looking more settled across the Western isles. Winds are brisk but we should still see plenty of sunshine. Temps will continue to slowly creep up and we could reach 16/17C
Across the UK it’s mostly settled. Low pressure moves into France will bring wind and rain into England and Wales.
In UK weather news the Met office have a yellow weather warning for rain for parts of Northern Ireland for the rest of today into Wednesday.
