Sundays forecast – A North / South divide

Good evening Western Isles on this Saturday evening we are seeing a band of rain moving across the Uists and Barra. The rain is mostly light but we are seeing a few heavier spells. Winds are brisk. Elsewhere its mostly dry with plenty of cloud.

Overnight – Lewis and Harris is expected to stay mostly dry the odd spell of light rain and drizzle cannot be ruled out. Plenty of cloud with some clear skies. Showers will push in across the Uists and Barra these will be thundery at times with some hail mixed in. Plenty of early morning sunshine. Winds of 5 to 15 mph.

Morning – Further showers across the Uists and Barra and some of these could spread further North and they could be thundery in nature. In between plenty of sunshine. Even prolonged sunshine at times. Winds of 5 to 15 mph.

Afternoon and evening – A few lingering showers to start the afternoon but these are expected to clear away. For most it will be a fine and dry end to the day. Plenty of sunshine which will be prolonged. Even wall to wall for a time. Variable amounts of cloud. Winds of 5 to 15 mph.

Winds will be Easterly and North Easterly direction and temps will range from 7C to 13C
