Sunday 9th June Weather Watch

Good afternoon Western isles on this Sunday afternoon we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Slow moving rain across the Uists and Benbecula and winds are light.

As the day goes on the rain should clear away leading to a dry end to day. A few sharp showers cannot be ruled out.

Monday is expected to see a fine and dry day with plenty of sunshine and variable amounts of cloud. Light winds under 20 mph.

For the rest of the UK heavy rain in the South East. Elsewhere sunshine and thundery showers with mostly light winds.

Tuesday a largely dry day with the odd light shower. We are going to see winds increasing gusting 20/30 mph. Plenty of cloud with a few sunny spells.

Across the UK feeling cool and windy. Heavy and persistent rain for eastern England.

Wednesday risk of gales with winds gusting 40 to possibly 50 mph. Mainly dry but very overcast and feeling cool.

Across the UK staying windy as a whole. Rain again for the East Coast which will be heavy and persistent at times.
