Good afternoon Western isles we have an early Weather Watch today. Plenty of blue skies and sunshine across most of the Western isles today but stubborn cloud is proving hard to shift in places. Some light rain and drizzle. We are also seeing light winds.
For the rest of today it will be a mixture of sunshine and cloud with light winds and the occasional spell of light rain and drizzle.
Tuesday will winds increasing across the Western isles gusting 30/40 mph. Further spells of light rain and drizzle. But for most it will stay dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud.
Across the UK we are going to see further heavy rain. The Met office have issued weather warnings. It’s going to be windy as well.
Wednesday and it’s more of the same for us in the Western isles. Sandwiched between low and high pressure we are going to see winds of 20/40 mph. Plenty of cloud with light rain and drizzle.
Across the UK staying windy with further heavy rain for England and Wales with Met Office warnings have been issued.
Thursday winds will slowly ease across the Western isles, we are going to see a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Light rain and drizzle.
Across the UK the rains will slowly start to ease. It will be breezy here. Low pressure to the North of Scotland. Further Met office warnings have been issued.
In UK weather news the Met office have issued an amber warning for rain for South East England. Very heavy rain is expected here and could well make headline news. For the latest updates on this dynamic and changeable weather situation check the Met Office website or app.
The Met office also has yellow warnings for rain for today and most of the rest of the week that covers England and Wales.
