Wednesdays forecast – The cycle.

Good evening Western Isles. A bit of a rut we find out selves in again. Little changing at the moment. Should see a change towards the weekend but no real signs of settled dry and warmer weather yet.

On this Thursday evening we are seeing mostly light rain and drizzle across a large part of the Western Isles. Brisk winds. Cloud is dominating. Some sunny spells.

Overnight – We are going to see a mostly cloud dominated night with some light rain and drizzle. A few clear spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Wednesday day – Basically the same weather all day. Its going to be an overcast day across much of Lewis and Harris with some sunny spells. A mixture of sunshine and cloud across the Uists and Barra. Its going to be a windy day. This wind speeds do cause me a little concern. It wont be strong enough to warrant a warning however we are going to see winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph. Which is already causing travel disruption on the ferries, also anyone with outdoor activities or camping may want to take note of the speeds. Some light rain and drizzle likely on and off throughout the day.

Winds will be North Easterly direction and temps will range from 8C to 13C

Sunrise and Sunset

Stornoway – 04:21 and 22:29
