Thursday 13th June Weather Watch

Good evening Western isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing an overcast end to the day. Light rain and drizzle for most. Mist and low cloud with bands of heavier rain moving across Lewis and this is highlighted on recent radar. Winds are brisk and it’s feeling chilly.

Today’s view from space again shows an overcast day across the Western isles.

Friday we are going to see some heavy overnight rain. The rain will slowly clear allowing for a mostly fine and dry afternoon and evening with plenty of sunshine. A few lingering showers. Winds will become lighter.

Across the UK a day of sunshine and showers as low pressure sits close to the Western isles.

Saturday will see a day of sunshine and showers once more. Winds will be lighter across Lewis and Harris and stronger across the Uists and Barra. Feeling cool once again.

Across the UK a mixture of sunshine and showers. Low pressure dominates the weather from the West.

Sunday will see another cloud dominating day. A mixture of showers and longer spells of rain with brisk winds.

Across the UK another showery day. A risk of the showers being thundery and brisk winds.

In global weather news cyclone Vayu skirts the coasts of India today dumping heavy rain and bringing strong winds to the region.
