Thursdays forecast – trying to think of more exciting ways to say showers.

Good evening Western Isles we have seen a funny day weather wise. Plenty of showers some of these slowly moving and heavy. Brisk winds but away from the showers we have seen some glorious sunshine and even a little warmth.

On this Wednesday evening we are seeing a mixture of clear skies and cloud with a few lingering showers. Some of these are sharp in places.

Overnight – We are going to see a mixed night. Some of the showers are going to be heavy at times. Fairly well scattered showers. Many places seeing a dry night. Variable amounts of cloud and clear skies. Winds of 10 to 20 mph gusting 30 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Yet more of what we have seen lately a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers. Some of these heavy at times. In between some prolonged sunshine and blue skies. But the cloud will never be too far away. Winds of 10 to 20 mph gusting 30 mph.

Evening – Is expected to be drier across the Uists and Barra. Showery again across Lewis and Harris. Sunshine once again in between the showers. Prolonged sunshine at times. Winds of 10 to 25 mph.

Winds will be Westerly and South Westerly direction and temps will range from 6C to 14C
