Thursdays forecast – Some improvements

Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we are still stuck in a rut. Its overcast with rain moving across Lewis and Harris which is heavy and slow moving. some showers around. Light rain and drizzle. We got mist fog and low cloud. Winds are fairly light. There is a chance that some of the showers this evening could be thundery.

Overnight – We are going to see a cloud dominated night. Some dry spells but further showers which will be heavy and a slight chance of them being thundery. Mist, fog and low cloud once more. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.

Morning – Further mist, low cloud and fog. Outbreaks of rain which will be heavy at times. Staying overcast but with some prolonged dry spells in between the showers. Winds of 5 to 15 mph.

Afternoon – The Uists and Barra will see the cloud breaking allowing for some decent and possibly prolonged sunshine. Drier here with the occasional showers. Lewis and Harris will be mostly stuck under cloud with a few sunny spells. Showers here but they are expected to clear away. Some light rain and drizzle. Winds of 5 to 15 mph.

Evening – The best of the drier and brighter weather will still be across the Uists and Barra. Sunshine and cloud here. More overcast for Lewis and Harris. Scattered showers but for most its expected to be a mostly dry end to the day. Winds of 5 to 15 mph.

Winds will be variable and temps will range from 13C to 17C
