Good Morning Western Isles this is your morning brief. On this Thursday morning we are seeing another wet start to the day. Spells of heavy and persistent rain overnight. This is clearing away now. But we are still seeing rain and drizzle just not as heavy. Mist fog and low cloud leading to difficult conditions in places. Winds are mostly light.
Across the highlands and islands on Wednesday Harris Quidnish had the lowest maximum temperature of 13.8C
Today – another overcast cloud dominated day with further spells of rain. These could be thundery for a time but the risk is low. Becoming drier and brighter with increasing sunshine this afternoon for the Uists and Barra. Duller and cloudier for Lewis and Harris. Humid with mist low cloud and fog. Scattering of showers this evening. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.
Friday – a scattering of showers. Sunny spells and mist and low cloud once again. Mostly light winds.
Saturday – fine dry and more settled. Increasing amounts of sunshine with plenty of cloud.
Sunday and Monday – mostly fine and dry with plenty of sunshine. Best of the sunshine on Monday. Variable amounts of cloud for Sunday with chance of rain.
