Week ahead forecast – Becoming unsettled.

Good evening Western Isles for the week ahead its going to turn unsettled with low pressure out to our West. This weather system will have a big influence on the weather conditions we will see for Hebridean Celtic Festival.

Tuesday – Will see a mostly fine and dry day. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Some light rain and drizzle at times. Winds will be Southerly and South Westerly direction of 20 to 30 mph. Temps of 11C to 17C

Wednesday – Is going to see an unsettled day. We are going to see winds of 30 to 40 mph. A dry start but heavy rain will sweep in and this will become persistent. Winds will be from the South and temps will range from 11C to 18C

Thursday – A day of sunshine and showers. The best of the drier and brighter weather will be across the Uists and Barra. The heaviest of the showers across Lewis and Harris. Winds will be South Westerly direction around 10 to 30 mph. Temps of 8C to 15C

Friday – A drier day but with showers across Lewis and Harris. In between some decent and prolonged sunshine. Winds of 10 to 20 mph from the South and South West and temps of 10 to 16C
