Wednesdays forecast- Heavy rain and winds, drier later.

Good evening Western isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing a humid end to the day. Rain moving across large parts of the Western Isles. the rain is heavy. Drier elsewhere with plenty of cloud and brisk winds.

Overnight – We are going to see heavy and at times persistent rain move across the entire Western Isles. The cloud will dominate and the wind will increase. We are going to see some dry spells to start the night but rain will reach all parts by dawn. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning – Is when we are going to see the heaviest of the rain. it will be persistent at times and there is a chance of the odd rumble of thunder. The cloud will dominate and we will see some drier interludes for a time. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon – As we go into the afternoon the cloud will start to break and we will see increasing amounts of sunshine. The heaviest of the rain will slowly clear away and it will become more showery and eventually more lighter. Winds of 15 to 30 mph.

Evening – Will be mostly fine and dry. We are going to see some decent and maybe even prolonged sunshine. A few light showers around and plenty of cloud. Winds of 10 to 20 mph.

Winds will be Southerly and South westerly direction and temps will range from 11C to 16C
