Wednesday 17th July Weather Watch

Good evening Western isles and welcome to the latest weather watch.

On this Wednesday evening we are seeing drier and brighter conditions across the Western isles. Increasing amounts of sunshine and brisk winds. A few showers mostly light but these are now clearing away.

The rest of the evening will be mostly fine and dry. Plenty of sunshine and Variable amounts of cloud. Winds will ease. A few lingering scattered showers.

Today’s view from space highlights the overcast conditions.

Thursday we are going to see a day of sunshine and showers. Some of these heavy at times and possibly thundery during the late morning and afternoon. It’s Expected to become drier to end the day. Brisk winds throughout the day.

Thursday across the UK low pressure dominates. Showery and these will be heavy at times. Possibly thundery for the North and West. Brisk winds.

Friday across the Western isles will see another day of sunshine and showers. These will be heavy at times. In between some decent and prolonged sunshine. It will be breezy.

Fridays across the UK we have two areas of low pressure bringing unsettled snd thundery weather. With spells of heavy rain.

Saturday across the Western isles is expected to be mostly fine and dry. Feeling warm. Light winds and a few scattered showers.

Saturday across the UK will see sunshine and scattered showers which will be heavy at times.

Looking ahead long range and the end of the weekend is looking wet and windy.

In UK weather news an unusual detection was made on weather radar when flying ants appeared on the South Coast radar today,

Last night across the UK a stunning partial lunar eclipse was visible… it was cloudy here.
