Friday forecast – Sunshine and showers

Good evening Western isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing a mostly dry end to the day. A few mostly light showers around. plenty of cloud and brisk winds. Some sunshine. Feeling mild.

Overnight – It is going to be a fine and dry night for most. The odd shower cannot be ruled out. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Some early morning sunshine. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Morning – Fine and dry across the Uists and Barra with plenty of sunshine. Prolonged sunshine. Variable amounts of cloud and the odd shower cannot be ruled out. Lewis and Harris is expected to be showery. These will be more scattered and less heavy then on  Thursday. In between the showers we will see plenty of dry spells with some decent and prolonged sunshine. Winds of 10 to 25 mph.

Afternoon – A few showers around but for most it will be largely dry. Plenty of sunshine and variable amounts of cloud. The best of the sunshine will be across the Uists and Barra. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.

Evening – Should be fine and dry with plenty of sunshine. Wall to wall sunshine for the Uists and Barra. More in the way of cloud for lewis and Harris. The odd shower cannot be ruled out but most places should be dry. Winds of 0 to 10 mph.

Winds will be South Westerly direction and temps will range from 10C to 18C
