Good Morning Western Isles this is your morning brief
On this Sunday morning we are seeing a few sharp showers around. These are ahead of the main band of heavy rain which is over Ireland at the moment. We are seeing plenty of cloud with a few sunny spells. Winds are increasing.
Across the highlands and islands on Saturday Stornoway was the sunniest with 8.5 hours of sunshine.
Pollen forecast for today is low.
Today – we are going to see heavy rain pushing across the Western isles and this will be persistent at times. It will reach all parts as the day goes on with the heaviest being for the Uists and Barra. The cloud will dominate with occasional sunny spells. Winds will gusting 30/40 mph at times.
Monday – Further outbreaks of rain and blustery winds. Feeling mild.
Tuesday – overcast and drizzly day. Feeling mild as warm air moves in. Risk of thundery showers as we go overnight into Wednesday.
Wednesday – feeling fresher but showery.
