Thursdays forecast – Sunshine, showers and cloud.

Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we are seeing a mostly overcast end to the day. Its mild and breezy.

Overnight – We are going to see a cloud dominated night. Some clear skies at times. its going to be mostly dry but the odd shower cannot be ruled out. Winds of 5 to 30 mph.

Morning and afternoon – It is going to be mostly overcast. Some showers that could be thundery at times but these are expected to be well scattered. Some sunny spells. Best of the sunshine. Late afternoon and early evening. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. Strongest for the Uists and Barra.

Evening – Further spells of sunshine with scattered showers. Some of these will be heavy and possibly thundery at times. Winds will increase further across the Uists and Barra. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph.

Winds will be Easterly and South Easterly direction and temps will range from 10 to 23C possibly seeing the hottest temp of the year so far for Stornoway. Hottest temp at a Met Office site in the Western Isles this year 25C
