Friday morning brief

Good Morning Western Isles this is your morning brief

On this Friday morning we are seeing a fine start to the day. Plenty of blue skies and sunshine with stubborn to clear cloud. A really north and south split in terms of wind. Gusting 30/40 mph for Uists and Barra and under 10 mph in Lewis.

Pollen forecast for today is moderate.

Across the highlands and islands on Thursday South Uist was the wettest with 1.6 mm of rain.

Today – plenty of blue skies and sunshine. Cloud increasing with more hazy sunshine. Staying windy for morning and afternoon winds easing later. Should be dry but the odd shower cannot be ruled out. Feeling warm again temps in the high teens low 20s

Saturday – a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Some light rain and drizzle with much lighter winds.

Sunday – outbreaks of rain which will be heavy at times feeling cooler and fresher.

Have a great Friday
