Sunday’s forecast – Cloud and rain return

Good evening, Western Isles on this Saturday evening we are seeing a fine and dry end to the day. Plenty of blues skies and sunshine. Feeling warm. Winds are light.

Overnight – We are going to see a cloud dominating night. Some light rain and drizzle. Mainly across the Uists and Barra. Lewis and harris should stay dry. We could see some heavier showers during the early hours across South Uist and Barra. Winds of 5 to 20 mph gusting 25 mph across the Uists and Barra.

Morning – Will see outbreaks of rain. These will be heavy at times possibly thundery. Direr for Lewis and Harris with the risk of a few showers reaching here. Some sunny spells but the cloud will dominate. Winds of  5 to 25 mph.

Afternoon – Once again will see further showers. These again will be heavy at times and possibly thundery. Feeling warm. in between some decent and prolonged sunshine. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.

Evening – Direr across the Uists and Barra. But showery again for Lewis and Harris which could merge into some longer spells of rain. In between some decent sunshine. Winds of 5 to 20 mph.

Winds will be from the South East and Temps will range from 13C to 20C
