Good morning Western isles here is your morning brief
On this Monday morning we are a mostly dry start to the day. Heaviest of the rain has cleared away. We are seeing some light rain and drizzle. Plenty of cloud and some sunny spells. Winds are brisk.
We had a few thunderstorms last night thank you for all the reports. A slight risk again today of further storms but the greatest risk comes on Tuesday.
The Met office have issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms for Harris and parts of Lewis for Tuesday. The full warning and latest updates can be found via the met office website or app.
Today – overcast day with some sunshine. Quite a bit of hazy sunshine. After a cool start becoming warmer as the day goes on. Well scattered showers and some of these could be heavy at times and a slight risk of them being thundery. Winds of 5/20 mph.
Tuesday – another fairly overcast day with mostly light winds. Showers again. These will be thundery at times. Slow moving so could bring spells of heavy rain at times.
Wednesday- a day of sunshine and showers. Heavy at times. Winds increasing and turning cooler.
Thursday – looks like being the best day of the week. Drier and brighter. Plenty of sunshine but feeling cooler then of late.
Have a great Monday.
