Good Morning Western isles this is your morning brief
A little bit later this morning we are seeing some rain moving across the Western isles. For most it’s fairly light but we are seeing some heavier bursts. Winds are light and away from the rain the cloud is dominating with some mist and low cloud.
Across the Highlands and Islands Stornoway was the sunniest with 8.7 hours of sunshine and Harris Quidnish had the lowest maximum temperature of 17.5C
Pollen forecast for today is low.
Harris and parts of South Lewis are under a met office yellow weather warning for thunderstorms until 22:00 this evening. The full warning and latest updates can be found via the Met office website or app. The entire Western isles are under a SEPA flood alert.
Today – a cloud dominated start to the day. The rain and light rain should clear away by mid afternoon. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Sharp showers later with a risk of them being thundery and heavy. These will be slow moving so a risk of flash flooding. Not everyone will see a storm but the greatest risk is for Harris and South Lewis. It will be mostly likely be in the evening for any storms. In between some warm sunshine.
Wednesday- another day of sunshine and showers. Feeling warm becoming drier as the day goes on.
Thursday – looks set to be a fine dry day with plenty of sunshine and feeling warm.
Friday – strong winds and risk of rain. Feeling much cooler then of late and feeling more like Autumn then Summer.
Have a great Tuesday
