On this Thursday evening we are seeing heavy rain and winds gusting 30/40 mph. Overcast with less rain across the Uists and Barra.
The rest of this evening will see further heavy rain across Lewis and Harris. Showers with some sunshine across Uists and Barra. Winds of 30/40 mph gusting 50 mph.
Today’s view from space highlights the overcast conditions
Saturday across the Western isles will see another overcast day with outbreaks of rain which will be lighter then in Friday. Occasional sunny spells. Windy again 20/40 mph. Feeling cooler then of late. Low teens and rain will be heavy at times across Lewis in the afternoon.
Saturday across the UK low pressure dominates. Heavy rain and strong winds thundery showers at times.
Sunday across the Western isles will be a much drier and more settled day. Cloud dominating and brisk winds of 10/30 mph.
Sunday across the UK a much more settled day. Feeling cool with some showers.
Monday across the Western isles will see a breezy day with sunshine and showers which be heavy at times. Staying unsettled.
Monday across the UK and high pressure sits to the South and low pressure dominates with frequent spells of rain and sunshine in between.
Looking ahead to next week and looks set to stay unsettled. Showery and windy.
