Wednesday’s forecast – Dry start then rain

Good evening, Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing a mostly dry end to the day. A few sharp showers around. Overcast with some clear spells.

Overnight – We are going to see a mostly cloud dominated night with a few early morning sunny spells. Most places staying dry apart from a few lingering showers. Winds of 10 to 20 mph.

Morning – A dry sunny start for Lewis and Harris with variable amounts of cloud which will increase as the morning goes on. A cloudy start for the Uists and Barra. Some light rain and drizzle. Winds of 10 to 20 mph.

Afternoon – Some sunshine to start but cloud will increase into all parts and we are going to see rain sweep into the Barra and then into the Uists and it will become increasingly heavy. Light rain and drizzle for lewis and harris before becoming heavier here as well. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – Heavy and at times persistent across South Harris for a time in the evening. Rain for Lewis and the Uists into the early evening. Cloud dominating. Behind the band of rain turning increasingly showery which will be heavy at times. Winds will be around 10 to 30 mph.

Winds will be from the South West and then come from the South East. Temps will range from 8C to 15C
