Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we are seeing a slow moving band of rain centred over Harris, South Lewis as I type bringing very heavy and persistent rain. Elsewhere drier with plenty of cloud. Breezy in places but for most winds are light.
Overnight – The band of slow moving rain will push across Lewis and Harris bring further heavy and persistent rain. For the Uists and Barra, we are going to see a drier night with some light rain and drizzle. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph across the Uists and Barra.
Morning and Afternoon – Any lingering rain should clear away for most. The odd shower cannot be ruled out. Some light rain and drizzle with plenty of clouds. But where the cloud breaks we should see some decent and prolonged sunshine. The cloud will prove stubborn to shift in places. Winds of 10 to 20 mph.
Evening – Cloud increases and we are still going to see a few sunny spells. A Few showers to start the evening which will merge into some longer spells of rain. Cloud will increase as will the wind. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Winds will be from the North Westerly and coming from the Southwest to end the day. Temps will range from 10C to 16C
