Wednesday morning brief

Good Morning Western isles on this Wednesday morning we are seeing a fairly overcast start to the day with some sunshine. A few light showers and it’s breezy and fairly cool.

Across the Highlands and Islands on Tuesday Stornoway was the sunniest with 7.4 hours of sunshine.

Today – some sunshine to start this morning. Cloud will increase and rain will slowly spread from the south. This we will be heavy and at times persistent as we go into the evening. Winds of 10/30 mph. Once the main band of rain clears it will becoming showery later this evening.

Thursday – a brief respite on Thursday as high pressure builds in. Drier conditions breezy with some sunny intervals.

Friday – risk of gales and heavy rain as low pressure moves in from the Atlantic.

Saturday – heavy rain with strong winds gusting 40/50 mph. Feeling cooler as well.

Have a great Wednesday
