On this Saturday morning we are seeing a few sharp showers around. Plenty of cloud with a few sunny intervals. Winds are light across Lewis and Harris but gusting 30/40 mph for Uists and Barra.

Pollen forecast for today is low.

Across the Highlands and Islands on Friday south Uist range was the wettest with 16.4 mm of rainfall.

Today – a mixture of sunshine and showers these will be heavy and possibly thundery this morning. Winds increasing. Afternoon and evening heavy and at times persistent rain into all parts winds gusting 30/40 mph reaching 50 mph for uists and Barra. Light rain and drizzle to end the day.

Sunday – a windy and showery day. Heavy at times.

Monday – winds slowly ease but again another showery day.

Tuesday – things finally becoming more settled and drier.
